How Long Do Fantastic Glasses Warranties Last on Frames and Lenses?

Frame Warranty: Built to Last, Backed by Us
We carry over 2,000 frames in a variety of materials – from lightweight titanium and durable metal to stylish acetate and wood – because we believe in offering quality options for every budget. All frames purchased at Fantastic Glasses come with a minimum one-year manufacturer’s defect warranty. This means that if your frames have a manufacturing defect within one year of purchase, we’ll take care of it.
But we go further than that! We also offer free lifetime adjustments on frames purchased from us. We understand that frames can shift over time, and a proper fit is essential for comfort and clear vision. Bring your frames into either our Okotoks location, or we can assess if a warranty claim is possible even if you’re located in Calgary.
What does the frame warranty cover?The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship. This includes things like a broken hinge, a frame that snaps unexpectedly, or a flaw in the material itself.
What isn’t covered?The frame warranty doesn’t cover normal wear and tear, scratches, accidental damage, or loss/theft. If you sit on your glasses or they get damaged during a sporting activity, the warranty won't apply.
Lens Warranty: One Year of Coating Protection
The lenses are just as important as the frames, and we want to ensure they remain clear and protected. All lenses purchased at Fantastic Glasses come with a one-year warranty specifically covering the lens coatings. This includes crucial features like anti-reflective coatings (reducing glare) and scratch-resistant coatings.
What does the lens coating warranty cover?This warranty covers defects in the lens coatings themselves. For example, if your anti-reflective coating begins to flake or peel within the first year, we’ll address it.
What isn’t covered?Like the frame warranty, the lens coating warranty doesn't cover scratches sustained from normal wear and tear, or damage resulting from improper cleaning or handling. It’s important to use the cleaning cloths and solutions recommended by our team to maintain the integrity of the coatings.
Repair or Replacement: How it Works
If you believe your frames or lenses are covered under warranty, here’s what you need to do:
- Bring your glasses (and your original receipt if possible) to our Okotoks location. While we’re based in Okotoks, we’re happy to assess the situation and determine the best course of action for customers in Calgary as well.
- Our qualified opticians will inspect the glasses to determine if the issue is covered under warranty.
- If the issue is covered, we’ll either repair the frames/lenses or replace them with frames/lenses of equal or lesser value. Please note that replacement options are subject to current stock availability.
- For lens coating claims, we’ll assess the coating’s condition. If a defect is confirmed, we'll replace the lenses.
- Timeliness: Warranty claims must be made within the warranty period (one year for lenses and a minimum of one year for frames).
- Original Purchase: The warranty applies to the original purchaser of the glasses.
