Can I wear glasses with a VR headset?

You can, but it's uncomfortable and risky. Glasses press into your face, reduce your field of view, and can scratch the headset's built-in lenses. Prescription lens inserts are a much better solution.

Which VR headsets support prescription lens inserts?

Most major headsets including Meta Quest 3, Quest 3S, Quest 2, Quest Pro, PlayStation VR2, Apple Vision Pro, Valve Index, HTC Vive Pro 2, and Pico 4. If you have a different headset, contact us and we'll let you know.

Do I need a new prescription for VR lenses?

You need a current prescription. If yours is more than two years old, we offer free eye tests at Fantastic Glasses to get you up to date. The same prescription you use for regular glasses works for VR inserts.

Do VR prescription lenses work with astigmatism?

Yes. VR lens inserts are custom-made to your exact prescription, including astigmatism correction. Nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism are all supported.

How do I install the inserts?

Depending on your headset, inserts either snap in with a friction fit or attach magnetically. Both methods take seconds and don't require any tools. They're easy to remove for cleaning or sharing with other users.

Will the inserts scratch my headset's lenses?

No — the opposite. Prescription inserts actually protect your headset's built-in lenses from scratches. They sit in front of the headset lenses without touching them.
